The GT-Spec 3-Piece subframe brace kits allows for the removal of the factory OEM U brace for a total weight savings of approximately 13lbs in the front end, making for improved steering response, rigidity, and overall handling. Constructed from aircraft grade 6061/6063 hollow double-wall aluminum, this piece is strong, durable, and light -- bracing your front end and significantly reducing weight. Some owners simply remove the OEM brace, but this leaves your radiator and oil pan open to road debris, bumps, and obstructions; the GT-Spec subframe gives the stiffness of the OEM brace, without the weight, and without the worry of road obstacles damaging the radiator and oil pan. The GT-Spec brace will require the removal of the plastic engine under-cover and some shimming will be required to use a ladder bar or ARM bar.
