Sounds awesome! I wanted something a bit more practical and clean sounding than a Tomei, and this works great. One star off because of the mounting - it doesn't fit with the stock STI underbelly diffuser, I had to chop off a strip of it.
Looks awesome, fits great, has an awesome rumble sound, but isn't excessively loud. At $500 its the best bang for your buck for sure.
I like that this exhaust isn’t too loud and obnoxious I absolutely love the way it fit on my 2.5rs looks 👍🏽 good.
put this on my 06 STI. Gives it a great sound and is not "loud". running stock DP. bought the Grimmspeed exhaust adapter and it made the exhaust hit the sway bar. Ended up not using the adapter.
I wanted to change the cat less downpipe and some kind of ebay cat back on my 05 wrx that came with the car. I went for a cobb gesi catted downpipe and this hks hi power exhaust and wow...I love that low rumble sound and how the exhaust angles. Its not really loud its more neighborhood HOA friendly but if WOT...it sounds mean...The fitment is spot on. also for the exhaust hangers i used 2 extended on the mid pipe and on the axleback i used 2 standards.

This exhaust system does not disappoint! Very controlled low rumble with no drone at all.
It is definitely much quieter than I thought but if you mate up the 3” HKS downpipe with it along with the up-pipe, Be ready to hear one of the most amazing exhaust notes a Subie can make!

Got this cat-back to replace our Crawford Gymkhana exhaust which was was ridiculously loud. I would love to see this exhaust offered with a resonator-less center pipe, as it is definitely on the quiet side in terms of aftermarket exhausts, but HKS is legendary and I've never been disappointed from their exhaust products. Well engineered, well made, good instructions, and priced great.
We mated this to our 3"HKS downpipe, so no adapaters needed.
If you want all new hardware, you will need an additional two bolts and nuts, as it only comes with two of each.
Love it, just was hoping it was a touch more aggressive.

after replacing my old exhaust with this one ive noticed i dont even need my radio anymore i love the sound of it no droning at all the muffler is as shiny as can be and for the price you just cannot beat it
This is an awesome looking and sounding catback, it mates up perfectly to my grimmspeed 3" downpipe. Be prepared to hear a beautiful exhaust note and see a massive exit in the rear of the car. It has no drone and it makes me love driving my wrx even more. I will say you do lose a little bit of clearance underneath but it 3 inch pipe so it to be expected. All and all an awesome catback worth every penny in my opinion
