Also wet the bottom of the vinyl. This will help you move it in place and center it up. Once you've gotten it aligned, use your friend to apply heat to the material. This dries out the material to make it adhere again and also allows it to be stretched.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDo not heat up the material too much. In general, if the heat burns you, it is too hot. The corners need to be heated up the most and require the most stretching.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou don't have to use a squeegee to install this product. You can stretch and massage out creases with your fingers. Once you have laid this area down, start working your way to the other side. Make sure it lays down naturally across the bottom of the door. If the alignment is off at the end, then the alignment was off at the start. Reposition and try again. Push areas down with your fingers until nothing else will stick. Then carefully apply small amounts of heat and wrap the edges around side and bottom of the door. It is easier to open the door to do these areas. Once you have completed the bottom, work both ends evenly towards the little cut out in the center of the top. For the area towards the front of the door, you can use a stiff piece of plastic or cardboard to wrap the vinyl around the trim. Pay special attention to the area in front of the fake door trim. Using heat you want to push this area down, but hold on to the little piece that tucks down in front of the fake vent. You want to carefully guide this portion to cover the paint. Please see the photo of how much soap we used on the back of the vinyl.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIf you are installing this in very hot conditions, the sun can cause the vinyl to stretch more than you wanted it to.  In that case, find an area outside of direct sunlight.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou will want to look at all of the photos.  They will give you an idea of the placement of both pieces.  This installation is broken down into two parts.  Part A is the main piece and considered easy to install.  As long as you keep the back soapy, it is fairly easy to reposition the vinyl. Part B is for more advanced installers and probably requires the use of a hair dryer or heat gun on low heat.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eRemove your license plate.  Clean the placement area and make sure it is free of dirt, debris, and wax.   Align the holes just like our photo.  The spacing around the license plate mounting holes is also visible in our photos.  Squeegee out the air and soapy water with your fingers only.  Use of your fingers will make sure you do not damage the vinyl.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA part A only installation looks great, but some will opt to continue to part B.  Part B does have a notch in the center just to aide in installation.  Try to center this up as much as possible and then work your way out to one side.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo even things out, you will probably have to lift up on the vinyl several times and reposition it so try not to push the ends down until you're almost complete.  Should it be warm and you stretch the vinyl a little bit, you may have to trim the ends with scissors (photo available).  This is the same scenario if you use a hair dryer or heat gun to purposely stretch the vinyl.  Stretching the vinyl helps get it to cover the areas you want to get covered.  The initial alignment dictates how much stretching is required.  If you applied this piece 20 times, you would probably do it differently each time.  The heat can also aide in stretching out any areas that want to crease.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou can guide the vinyl a bit by using slight pressure as you apply it.  Be patient.  Make small corrections as you go.  \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThere are various extra pieces that are there only if you need to correct a mistake you made.  Whether you somehow didn't cover everything you wanted to cover up, or if you get a snag in the vinyl later on down the road.
