Hawk HP+ pads are made for the Subaru that gets driven to and on the track. The HP+ offers increased friction over the HPS, at the price of a little more noise (squealing) and more dust. Brake squeal is not uncommon in the HP+ due to the higher temperatures required for their peak friction, but once warmed up, this higher operating temperature will consistently allow your Subaru to brake more quickly, with minimal fade. These pads are excellent for the occasional HPDE/track day or for the very competitive autocross driver.

Perfect pads for the track

Got these pads for my first track day and was a bit dismayed when track day veterans exchanged worried looks and muttered about brake fade when I told them what my pads were. But I was happy to report that I didn’t experience any brake fade at all despite pushing my STI over 100mph on the straightaways and taking turns too fast and drifted a bit. Tires melted a bit but brakes were great! Everyone was surprised - must be that new brake fade resistant compound they’re using?

Brakes never faded on the day my track day came

Novice track driver here and I had confidence in these pads through all of my 20 min. sessions. Combined with Motul 5.1 fluid, brakes never faded, but as a beginner driver, I did not push my '13 STI anywhere near its limit. As usual, the pads are real noisy for daily driving, and do give out a lot of brake dust.
