Create a solid connection between your steering wheel and car, and increase positive steering feel with the PERRIN Steering Dampener Lockdown.
The PERRIN Steering Dampener Lockdown compresses the rubber within the dampener and fills the gap which virtually eliminates any play in the steering wheel. Many Subarus come with a steering dampener installed which is designed to reduce feedback from the road. This dampener allows for slop in the steering wheel that does not translate to any movement of the wheels on the road. Whether you're turning the wheel under normal driving conditions, in a parking lot, or on the track, there is a noticeable slop in the steering wheel.
What's in the Box:
This makes a pretty good addition to tightening down drivetrain and suspension mounts. It was a little tricky getting the correct angles to reach the steering column, be careful with the coolant lines if your car is still warm. It does make a slightly noticeable difference in steering, makes the “play” less soft.
Hard af to put on without a lift but manageable. I suggest just having a shop do it if you can't get under your car easily enough. But once installed it made a noticeable difference in steering tightness

Absolutely love this product! The steering feel is much tighter and direct. I highly recommend this for a more sporty steering feel.
Great product…reduces play to about an inch in the steering wheel. Install from below the car was much easier than the instructions!
There is simply no downside to this product. The only advice I can give about installation is a second set or hands. Otherwise, you need to constantly turn the wheel to orient the steering rack for installation both through the engine bay and underneath.
Tightens up the steering a noticeable amount
This took me maybe five minutes to install since I did it from underneath my car while I was doing other parts. Super easy and well worth your time, steering feels much sturdier than before if that makes sense. Like if your shoe is too loose and you tighten it just right
Install was a bit tricky being someone with bigger hands as you do have to reach down into a fairly tight space. However, once I got the lockdown lubed up and in place on the steering rack, install was as easy as tightening it down. Taking the care out after I could definitely feel the car more responsive to steering feedback.
