Tein has released their new line of Flex Z coilovers for those of you looking to upgrade to a quality suspension setup, without compromising your bank account. These are made ready to install that come with provided with top hats. Here are more key features:
Full-length ride height adjustment feature. Twin-tube structure. Damping force adjustment system. Complete kit with upper mounts exclusively designed for this coil over system with the exception of some models. 1-full car kit. Ride height adjustment with little or no change in ride quality. 16 level linear damping force adjustment system. Complete suspension kit of 4 shock absorbers and 4 springs. In conclusion the new line of Flex Z coil overs inherits all the features and quality of the Street Flex coil overs, but with an adoption of a new platform allows the price to be considerably lower. If you are looking for a performance upgrade at the track these will do, but the street ride quality will suffer. I have family members who refuse to ride in my car because it is a jarring ride. The decrease in wheel travel also means it dives into dips and holes, and its harsh, even over manhole covers. Not a perfect ride.
Stiffer springs does not equal better.
Im very much happy with the decision to go with these coilovers. I currently have them set in the middle if softness and firmness and I really like the handling of the car. This is my second set of these Tein Flex Coilovers and they lasted 12 years. That tell you is some good stuff, therefore is why I bought a second set again. This new version is called Tein Flex Z but is also compatible with my old EDCF unit that was installed on my first set. The ride is good on all 3 setting already on the EDCF unit and the ride and the feel is like is suppose to be, TEIN rules.
