While over all a great product. There are a couple of spots on the print that could use some improvement as the print is a bit on the rough side. I flocked mine to cover it up. To be honest. It was my first time flocking so it could use some improvement as well. Tip don’t try to remove the pod from the vent as you well not get it snug again.
The vent location makes it easy to monitor the oil pressure. With a different high temp 3d plastic , the printer ridges could have been smoothed to match the interior of the car.
In a car with limited options on gauge placement, the vent pos is perfect. I needed an oil pressure gauge for the TT car and don't like a lot of clutter and I don't need to search for data during a session. The pod takes care of all of those requirements, places the gauge high and visible without being a distraction.. perfect..
The fitment in the vent is good, the 3d print quality is good not great but good. I recommend getting a flocking kit and flocking the print to cover the layer lines, but functionality is great, shape and size is perfect.
Works well a little finicky to install. Be nicer if it was Carbon fiber 😁
This 3D printed item is beyond perfect. I know 3D printing/additive manufacturing - and the materials used in this part were highest quality around. It is strong, with a perfect fit, including hiding any wiring with a special channel. If you're looking to add a really sweet gauge holder, this part is for you. Installed in 5 minutes!
Obvious that it is 3d printed, but by far the best way to mount an oil pressure gauge in the 86/brz. Only other choice right now is to mount it in the vent, which is hard to see, or on the a pillar, which isn't great with air bags.
Fits into the defrost vent. Not the biggest fan of the look.
Finish was pretty rough. A little more clean up after printing would be appreciated
