Great Injectors For Those Sticking With Side Feed!
I recently converted my 2005 STI to run on E85. While researching top-feed conversions, I realized it wasn’t worth the effort or cost for my current goals, that’ll come later when I build the block. After digging through a ton of info, I decided to stay side-feed and go with DeatschWerks 1000cc injectors (DW1000).
Now, if you read online, you’ll find plenty of people saying these injectors are a nightmare to tune or not worth it. Most of that info is just dated, it made sense back when everyone was switching to top-feed setups. But I’m here to tell you that’s not the case.
The data DW provides was spot-on. My car idles clean, drives smooth, and shows zero stumbles or weird trims. On E85, these injectors are running perfectly at around 70% IDC, making just under 400whp with plenty of headroom left.
If you’re looking to keep things simple and still make solid power under 400whp, these side-feeds will get the job done without compromise
