I was skeptical at first by using this, But after a Mixture with the Redline Gear oil. The smooth shifting is back and feels like a new transmission. I would stand by the product for sure
It’s great with motul 300
Used 1 qt of this and then the rest Motul for Rand service on my 20 STI. It feels smooth again
Mixed 2 of these in with 2 75-90 quarts in my 14 wrx it feels great

I've been using Redline's lightweight shockproof in my WRX's 5-speed for over 7 years now and I absolutely love it. Especially if you're using the "Andrewtech Cocktail" (1qt Motul Gear 300, 3qts lightweight shockproof). I recently purchased a 2010 Impreza with a 5-speed that had a 3rd gear and 5th gear grind. Put the Andrewtech cocktail in and while 3rd gear is still notchy it completely smoothed out 5th gear. You will find mixed feelings about lightweight shockproof online and on the forums and the internet professionals swear your transmission will explode if you use this but it's not true and they are just stirring the pot. It's a very good product for Subaru 5-speed transmissions and a great bandaid for worn syncros when paired with Motul Gear 300.
