I'm a 50+ driver, and this is actually my first time to get an exhaust. Settled on the AWE touring axle back for several reasons: 1. Black tips and fitment, fills in the exhaust cutout on my '25 WRX perfectly and doesn't touch the plastic; also, a plus are the tips being adjustable allowing for a recessed, stealthy look which I prefer, or i think you can have them protrude, too; 2. the anti-drone 180 technology AWE developed, it truly does work and there is zero drone in the cabin; however, with any aftermarket exhaust it's going to be louder than stock so you do hear the exhaust sound itself of course, but not bad even for my old ears; 3. Price (black Friday deal) was competitive compared to other available axle backs; 4. lifetime warranty, they've been in business 30+ years so i assume they would honor the warranty if i ever had to file a claim...hopefully not when i'm 80+, lol; 5. was a little nervous, as some folks online complained about the welds and low quality, but in my unprofessional opinion i think mine looks really good and solid, and you only see the welds if you crawl under the car anyway...plus there's that lifetime warranty if something happens to fail. Some folks also mention exhaust leaks, but from what i understand those are mostly for the catbacks and likely from people not using the slip joints correctly per AWE. Install was easy, and this is coming from a first timer...i didn't even need an exhaust hanger removal tool, a little WD-40 and the stock…
