Increasing the diameter of your sway bars will have two main effects. They will modify handling balance in terms of steering bias (understeer or oversteer), and they will increase roll resistance. Like many AWD platforms, the stock Legacy GT is designed to be biased towards understeer, meaning that the installation of a larger rear sway bar will eliminate the rear end grip bias and provide a more neutral handling feel. By adding a significantly a stiffer rear sway bar, grip can be biased towards the front end of the car, effectively eliminating the factory understeer and creating oversteer.
Whiteline sway bars for the Subaru WRX, STI, and Legacy GT are available as either a fixed or adjustable design, allowing you to dial in your desired front or rear stiffness. Whether you are building a time attack monster or just sprucing up your daily driver, you can be sure there is a Whiteline sway bar to suit your needs. All Whiteline sway bars are constructed from solid steel and come in "Silver Sparkle II" metallic powder coat color. Replacement polyurethane bushings, installation grease and instructions are included in each Whiteline sway bar kit.

Easy install, don’t even need to take the exhaust off if your crafty. Immediate difference in how the car rides. A MUST if you like to ride twisties!
Set of tall rhino ramps was enough to do it without issue.
Recently added the whiteline rear swaybar to my 16 wrx. In stock configuration, understeer at limit is one of the wrx's biggest problems. I added the RCE yellow lowering springs, and whiteline rear adjustable LCA's to help reduce this along with a custom alignment. This helped tremendously, but the car still tended to push at limit. I could get it to rotate under throttle though. After adding the whiteline rear swaybar set to the middle setting, (along with the whiteline front roll center correction kit and kartboy endlinks) the car is neutral at limit cornering. A lot of reviews talk about reducing body roll and improving steering responsiveness which this does help with but the main benefit is to change the balance of the car at limit cornering. This allows maximum lateral grip when cornering as you reach the limit of your front and rear traction at the same time. I would highly recommend this setup. FYI my alignment specs are front caster 6.1, camber -1.0, toe 0. Rear camber -1.5, toe 0.1. This is a good street performance alignment for good grip withouth sacrificing tire wear.
This sway bar is far more superior than the oem bar. Cornering is so much smoother and I can take corners at higher speeds. This sway bar is thicker which gives it more rigidity. The quality is great and I recommend this product for anyone trying to improve the handling of their vehicle
These really tighten the backend up! Last time I checked...everyone likes a tight rear end!
Quality product, take your time during the install and you're gravy.
Installed and was effortless! Really help the rear! Would definatly reccomend!
Purchased this sway bar along with the RCE Yellow Lowering Springs and while I have not yet installed them on my car, just by opening the product and examining it you can see the build quality that Whiteline uses.
Bought cause of notorious Subaru AWD understeer so I wanted to upgrade to a beefier rear sway to help balance out the car in corners/curves. This paired with the springs will help a ton (or so I've heard.)
Also again shoutout to IIR for the great pricing and custom bundle discount when I was looking to purchase these, also received within the same week that I ordered the items which is always nice.
