Bought this along with the Billetworkz brass shifter bushings . Happy how shorter the throw is now. Great product fast shipping. I didn’t get any pictures since I didn’t have the car on lift just jack stands.
Definitely a difference that you can feel when holding and comparing this to the stock part. I’m not going to say that the install was easy, but it was manageable. Just be sure to get you a 3/16 punch that is straight and has some length. While a lift is recommended, I did this on my back. You might want to take something for your nerves before hand if you are claustrophobic though. I recommend rhino ramps if you are going the lying down route.
Shortens the throw and when combined with a short throw shifter, it changes the whole feel of the car (for the best). Recommend doing it with the bushing paired as it’s all in the same area. Get your, white lithium grease ready lol
I got this along with the rest of the Billetworkz Short Throw Shift Kit, make a worlds difference from stock!! If you're on the fence about it, do it! So worth it. Gets rid of all the slop the stock has! DO IT!!!
By far the biggest difference in shifting was from this part. I got a bronze shifter cable bushing at the same time, so I can't say what the stock one would feel like, but mine was barely less stiffer then the new bushing. A fun bonus was finding my car came with the sti shifter stock (found the sti mark when under the car) so I got a very different shifter throw. Either way, start here and add a good trans mount and you'll be very happy.
Each gear shift is crisp and heavy, but not too heavy.
Can be a PITA trying to get this installed while keeping the factory shield on. Now with that being said, I wish I did this sooner. 10/10
