The Clutch Masters FX500 Clutch Kit is engineered for extreme horsepower applications where maximum torque capacity and instant engagement are mandatory. Delivering an aggressive 200–400% increase in holding capacity over stock, the FX500 is built strictly for competition use and is not recommended for street driving.

At the core of the FX500 system is the Power Plus II Hi-Leverage Pressure Plate, featuring a ductile iron casting (when applicable), heavy-duty straps, and dual stacked precision heat-treated diaphragms for exceptionally high clamping force. A special friction-reducing lubricant is applied to eliminate diaphragm binding under extreme loads.

The FX500 utilizes a solid (rigid, unsprung) hub disc, meaning engagement and disengagement are instantaneous. This design maximizes power transfer but produces aggressive engagement characteristics and clutch chatter — making it unsuitable for daily driving.
