Possibly the best option
From what I read prior to my decision solid strut braces may be stiffer, but they take away daily driver comfort. STI themselves use pillow ball joints in their bracing to preserve vertical movement. Cusco has the thickest bar and uses all 3 studs for each side. The hinges should serve the same purpose as the pillow ball while keeping horizontal stiffness. So far it's been zero loss in comfort with a little better feeling on turn in.
