EBC yellow 1793 compound is s true winner all round, it has high friction from cold, not requiring warm up for street use yet when loaded up and really hot the brakes just get better. Even up to truck weights these pads grip and do not heat fade. EBC yellows are ECE Brake safety tested which means they must work perfectly from cold at least as good or better than stock pads. When Yellows see some heat (which is not tested for in the ECE R 90 brake safety regulations) they really show their pedigree.
On Japanese cars built with lower friction FF rated pads these deliver a full grade higher stopping and on German cars built with GG these are about the only aftermarket pads that will match or beat the pretty good German OE spec pads and that takes some doing. Got these brakes hoping to have abit more bite when braking. These pads are great for track use & spirited driving those back roads. The pads are not forgiving when it comes to brake dust. But who cares performance is what matters
Put on WRX, burnished with 2 40-15mph and then 3 60-15 mph slow downs, fairly hard braking with at least a mile to cool, then normal street driving for 325 miles.
HPDE at Barber, managed to fade last of 3 25 minutes sessions.
Bled and added Motul 660. Worked well the next two sessions. Before last session of the day, I looked at pads and I was down to about 6 mm. Went out for a 20 minute warm up and pass did ok, just nothing left. Did not do anymore laps and headed home before lunch.
It was rainy and wet, low 60s Saturday. Never got beyond high 40s Sunday, but just overcast.
Fine for daily, I’m sure would work for autoX.

FWIW, I had used every Hawk Brake pad from HPS to Plus to BLACK(worthless for anything), Blue, HT10, DTC 30, and DTC 60 during my racing career. 3 SARRC Time Trials Championships, several podium finishes, and an overall win at CMP. Not a rookie braker.
I've had good luck with EBC. This is my second set, I do 3 or for tracks days and alot of spirited driving.
Great replacement for OEM Pads the stock pads don't give you much feel these pads do also no dust or squealing noise That I have seen
Highly recommend these if you want to get more out of your brakes without upgrading to a big brake kit. The OEM pads are horrible.. With these you actually have a brake feeling. Will order again!
