Overview  

The GrimmSpeed Charge Pipe Kit replaces the restrictive stock plastic unit on the FA20-powered WRX with larger diameter CNC mandrel bent aluminum tubing and custom formed silicone.  The increased-diameter 2.5in tubing and large radius bends decrease restriction for the charge air, which results in increased performance and decreased time to spool.  Now available in a beautiful textured black or RED powdercoat with a BRAND NEW GrimmSpeed badge logo. The hidden silicone tops off the aesthetics of the GrimmSpeed Charge Pipe and provides an upgraded OEM-like appearance, with well-engineered aftermarket performance.

  • Tubing and turbo outlet adapter constructed of US-sourced lightweight and strong 6061 aluminum
  • Smooth, gradual transitions from the tapered turbo adapter all the way to the intercooler
  • Silicone used to insulate against the hot turbo area, aluminum used to further reject heat from the hot charge air
  • CNC machined turbo flange designed for custom O-ring, preventing a common failure we see in other aftermarket charge pipes
  • Does not unnecessarily relocate bypass valve, reducing components and making installation faster and easier

Best option for me...read...

Okay hear me out. I've owned 3 WRX's over 16 years. My newest car of 5 years is a 2018 WRX. I bought the Process West Intercooler w/ Piping. After rebuilding my car and going stage 2 the PW turbo/recirc/charge pipe kept popping off at the turbo flange. 6 times in the last 5 months. Also the charge pipe was pushing really hard against the radiator coolant hose where it meets the motor. I replaced hose clamps, removed and readjusted the CP...nothing helped. I bought this CP kit from Grimmspeed and I really like that the silicone hose connects almost at the top of the engine (easy access) and does not rub against the the radiator hose or anywhere at all. So take it from me, I feel like i've wasted money....do it right...go Grimmspeed!

Looks great, does it’s job.

Install is probably medium difficulty. Not bad if you take your time with it and enjoy the process. I love the finished product.
