The HKS Super Sequential Blow-Off Valve 4 (SSQV4) for the Subaru WRX is unlike typical push type blow-off valves, the pull-type design of the SSQV4 makes this valve virtually impossible to leak under load, as it uses the boost pressure itself to seal the valve closed when on throttle. While imitators have also adapted this concept, they typically utilize only a single large pull-type valve.
These imitation valves react slowly, require high pressure to open and are not able to activate at light-load conditions. Traditional smaller push-type valves can react faster but lack the ability vents large boost pressures. The HKS SSQV4 has solved both of these problems by incorporating two sequential valves in one, a small primary valve for ultra quick activation and a larger secondary valve for additional discharge capacity. The SSQV4 is engineered to only open the small primary valve under light throttle conditions, and open the secondary valve for additional relief capacity under high boost and load conditions. If desired, the triple fin insert can be removed or swap with other inserts (not included) to produce a more customized sound.

Fast shipping, arrived and was the part i was expecting, kit comes with all necessary supplies to install the bov properly.
Admittedly the instructions from HKS aren't the best. YouTube will be your best friend. You might have to swap some hoses around if you have an AOS installed and by hoses I mean just one. You will have to use the T-fitting along with the hose they provided. I'm currently running it recirculated, but still one of the loudest and best sounding BOV for your 15-21 WRX
Its the perfect sound, honestly the videos I saw don't do it justice, I get so excited now when I drive my car just because of how great it sounds. Hands down if you're on the fence about it. Just pull the trigger!
I'm currently running this BOV on a 2021 WRX in a VTA setup, relocated with an ETS FMIC piping kit. I am running a tune from a tuner who is educated on how to help compensate for the BOV running the VTA setup. The way this BOV works requires no adjustment, just light maintenance every once in awhile. I've only had one issue with it so far, it got stuck open for a couple seconds (instead of an instantaneous open and shut operation when letting off of accel while on boost) which caused a huge rich event. Once inspected and lightly lubed I've had no issues with it so far. From the light maintenance I've experienced and having it operate as normal again I feel that it was a one off occurrence, as the quality of the piece is apparent upon handling and inspection. My only advice is that you educate yourself on the symptoms of a faulty BOV so you can catch an issue, react to the issue, and resolve your issue in a safe way without damaging anything else and/or limiting any potential damage pending on the circumstances (honestly that motto applies to all performance modifications).
I haven't used the recirculation portion of this kit, so I can't comment on it, but it's nice that it comes with that option for those who want to stay recirculated and perhaps want a different sound profile than stock or for those running higher than stock application boost pressure.
If you choose to run VTA the sound profile is good, classic JDM VTA sound. It can get loud, but the volume ultimately…

It’s easy to install took me about a hour. Pretty straight forward. Make sure you angle the bov away from your charge pipe and tighten it down really really good because it could get lose and scuff up your charge pipe and create a huge problem. But anyways sounds amazing And paired up with the grimmspeed stealth intake it’s music to my ears!
Installed this in the car today at an auto shop. Works and sounds great. You can definitely hear the air releasing from the blow off valve! Shipment was quick and the product was beautiful!
