IAG Black Racing belts are lightweight and utilize EPDM Rubber for increased durability and performance in all climates. The Kevlar construction is 300% stronger than the OEM Subaru timing belt, and is also three times more heat resistant. The belt teeth are made of H-NBR grade rubber for additional strength.
The idler pulleys included in the kit are also OEM quality units. On Subarus it is more common to experience a timing idler bearing failure than it is to experience a failure of the timing belt iteself. You can rest assured that these high quality components will provide a long, trouble-free life.
The IAG Performance billet timing belt guide is the best method to prevent your EJ engine from skipping a beat. Engineered and manufactured in IAG's facility in Westminster, MD, each guide is machined from a single piece of 6061 billet aluminum and then anodized black for a protective finish. The guide is a strong, rigid replacement for the OEM piece and is also adjustable to set the proper clearance for the timing belt. This adjustability is especially useful when switching to an aftermarket timing belt where belt thickness may vary. The edges of the guide feature a soft corner that prevents wear on the flat side of the belt.
