Excellent pick for your 2022 or 2023 WRX. This exhaust is middle of the road for noise level. Quieter than the N1 and louder than the Q300 Series. If you're running the stock downpipe you'll need a downpipe to catback adapter. My top pick is the grimmspeed 077046
If you want to stiffen up the movement of the exhaust you can also get 5 Perrin 12mm poly hangers, the stock hangers will also work.
Quick take: Q300 = quietest & daily-friendly • R400 = aggressive but livable • N1 = loud, track-style.
Q300 for the quietest cabin and minimal drone. Choose R400 if you want a deeper, more aggressive note but still plan to daily the car. The N1 is the loudest and best suited to enthusiast/track builds.
Many owners report some cabin resonance around steady-state cruise (certain RPM ranges). Overall it’s more livable than the N1, but not as quiet as the Q300. Mounts, resonators, and other mods (downpipe, cat, intake) can influence drone.
The Q300 keeps things near-OEM volume at idle/cruise with a deeper, richer tone under throttle. It’s the most conservative of the three.
R400 typically offers quad 101 mm tips (polished stainless or burnt titanium). Q300 offers rolled-edge tips with a more OEM look. N1 variants vary by configuration and finish—check product pages for exact specs.
