Excellent pick for your 2022 or 2023 WRX. This exhaust is middle of the road for noise level. Quieter than the N1 and louder than the Q300 Series. If you're running the stock downpipe you'll need a downpipe to catback adapter. My top pick is the grimmspeed 077046
If you want to stiffen up the movement of the exhaust you can also get 5 Perrin 12mm poly hangers, the stock hangers will also work.
Quick take: Q300 = quietest & daily-friendly • R400 = aggressive but livable • N1 = loud, track-style.
Q300 for the quietest cabin and minimal drone. Choose R400 if you want a deeper, more aggressive note but still plan to daily the car. The N1 is the loudest and best suited to enthusiast/track builds.
Many owners report some cabin resonance around steady-state cruise (certain RPM ranges). Overall it’s more livable than the N1, but not as quiet as the Q300. Mounts, resonators, and other mods (downpipe, cat, intake) can influence drone.
The Q300 keeps things near-OEM volume at idle/cruise with a deeper, richer tone under throttle. It’s the most conservative of the three.

24wrx, fitment was perfect! The sound is a nice deeper tone than stock and very manageable inside the car. If your looking for a deeper subie sound(not like a ej but def close) with still hearing phone calls and music with ease get this! Back in my 20s I wanted loud and obnoxious but now in my 30s this exhaust fits perfect with sporty but quiet enough for a daily driver!
A great High Performance Exhaust with great overall sound while in idle and great aggressive growl when your in the throttle. Amazing craftsmanship and high quality design also giving some extra horsepower, while getting that subie rumble.

This cat back system is an easy install as long as you get the Grimm Speed adapter kit for the cat seal. I put the system side by side with stock and they make stock look cheap. The build quality on these pipes and attention to detail in the construction is impressive. Install was a breeze. The only warning that I would give is that if you want something flashy but no noise gain inside the cab you might want to get something else.
Took me 35 min tops to install. I did get the GrimSpeed aftermarket adapter as well. This thing sounds mean. At first I was concerned it would be too loud, but it calmed down after a good 60 miles. If you are after that deep grumbly Subie growl...this is it! Burnt tips are killer, but I wish they stuck out a bit further, I think I can do something about that though.
Great looking exhaust that has less drone than other options. You do need an adapter to install this to your other stock piping. I would recommend getting poly exhaust hangers because it does sit a touch too low in my opinion but can be easily fixed!
Looks great and doesn’t drone nearly as bad as other systems out there. Loud in acceleration but can also be quiet when cruising. Best of both worlds. Titanium tips really stand out.
