Over time, pressurized gasses are recirculated through the PCV system, oil particles are carried in that air which causes your intake system and intake valves to become coated in oil which leads to carbon buildup on the valves and reduced octane levels. The Mishimoto Baffled Oil Catch Can helps prevent these issues by separating that oil mixture from the air being returned to your intake system. As air enters the catch can, it flows through the 50-micron bronze filter followed by the air diverter baffle, which helps capture those oily particles and allows them to condense until they become heavy enough to drip into the canister to be collected. This leaves the air flowing back into your intake system clean and ready to be burned again.
I'm pretty sure Mishimoto rebrands and replaces certain parts to make it "Mishimoto".
Functionally it is good but could be better. You're better off taking the brass filter insert out and using coarse steel wool/brush. Not brillo, you don't want that dust, old fashion large metal shaving type and will filter a lot better and not clog.
Upgraded to this catch can after my BMS can exploded in the engine bay. Way better quality!
This came recommend by a friend. The cost, ease of use and installation made it a no brainer. Not having to cut up hoses to make it work was nice. Everything came pre-sized and fit perfectly in the engine bay.

Simple and to the point - easy install, and catches any blow by from the PCV system. Must have for any direct injected turbo engine.
No it’s not an IAG. No it’s not heated. And yea it does need emptied but for under 300$ it’s pretty damn nice. The other huge benefit to this mishi catch can is all the hoses are pre-bent and pre-cut so install was easy.
Quality is on par. Install was slightly tricky getting hose in place and tightened properly to the pcv valve itself but doable with a 1/4in ratchet and swivel(highly recommended). Overall time will tell if it scavenges like it’s supposed to but so far so good. Compact unit fits in nicely and in such a way you can actually remove to can to drain it when needed.
I installed this when replacing the TMIC, easy peasy. I liked the prebent hoses. Excellent fit and finish!
