It’s crazy to think that a modern car doesn’t come with good struts. Luckily it’s easily remedied. These are great hood struts. Reasonably priced and easy to install. Plenty of install videos on UouTube. I absolutely do recommend them.
Once I had the location of the bottom bracket correct, it worked great.
JUST MAKE SURE YOU USE A SHOP TOWEL SO YOU DON’T DROP A BOLT OR OTHER DOWN THE HOLE…. The video showed why and where.
Easy to install
It was tough to break the bolts loose, but once done, installation was very straightforward. I stuffed a towel inside the fender when installing to make sure nothing fell down inside it like what happened to the guy in the video. It's pretty tight quarters so a small ratchet wrench makes the job easier. So much nicer than the prop rod and it opens the hood a little higher than before with the rod.
Super helpful, crazy easy to install. a little tedious but super nice install.
These are a snap to install and are such an improvement over the silly wonky hood post that comes stock. Make sure you jam a towel in the gaps between the engine bay and the body panels so you don't loose any brackets or bolts.

Install was pretty easy on these and had everything I needed. They look great with the red and black and definitely should of been this way from factory but alas!
Perfect fit on a 2023 BRZ. The car should have come with these from the factory.
These struts were easy to install after watching the video and work great. Really cleans up the engine bay.
