While the new 2022+ WRX looks great with the older STI spoiler, the geometry of the trunk makes installing an old wing a bit of a chore. We've modified the bases and stocked new inventory to suit the needs of our customers. Constructed out of ABS plastic, every wing is nearly identical. Fitment is proper due to extensive testing and retesting. 6 bolt design keeps it secure to your trunk.
NOTE: Wind noise is possible with some setups. This depends on the other parts on your vehicle. Should you experience noise, you can also install our Whistle B Gone Kit.
Installation
Lay out all of the parts and use the template as a reference for what is included. You will want to do this installation with a buddy. This will help you as you are drilling into your trunk.
Prep the surface by cleaning it thoroughly. Assemble thing wing completely. Use the template and a center punch to note the three holes you will need to drill. Test fit the wing. Once satisfied, drill a pilot hole and then the final hole (x3 per side).
Place the wing back on the trunk. Check alignment. Remove spoiler and complete the steps noted on the template / instruction sheet. Move to final install on the trunk. Do not tighten all the bolts completely. Hand tighten all 6 loosely. Allow wing to settle into position without any tension. Now tighten the bolts each a little more. Repeat process until all 6 are snug.
The nuts you are bolting into are inserted into the plastic mold during the manufacturing process. Tighten firmly, but do not overtighten they are held into PLASTIC. Check the bolts after 100 miles and then again after 250 miles.
Do not slam trunk now that you have this new spoiler. It will weigh more than it previously did.
If you have never installed something of this caliber that requires drilling into your car and permanently modifying it PLEASE seek professional installation help. We will not be responsible for cross threaded studs or bolts or over tightened hardware.

I only had 1 issue but it was not a big deal and easy to fix. The bolt head that lands on the trunk seal was cutting into the seal. I opened the hole on the inside with a taper drill bit to about 5/8 just enough to fit the head of the bolt/screw through. Then got a shorter bolt/screw and using just the flat washer provided and thread locker inserted it through the 5/8 hole and tightened it up. I put rubber grommets back in the tapered hole.
Excellent Wing! Install was a breeze ( Except for the drilling Haha but IIR templates were perfect ) Color Match on the Ceramic White is spot on. TIP: Use a step bit instead of a full 1/4" drill to open up pilot holes and when installing the spacers use some painters tape to keep em attached to the tool. Lastly keep a good strong magnet by your side in case you drop hardware in the base haha. It helps pick it up and bring them back to the opening.
Wing fits perfectly and color is spot on. I ordered it on a Tuesday and had it installed on Friday. Very fast shipping
