Perrin 3.0in ID Turbo Inlet Hose Subaru BRZ 2022-2025 / Toyota GR86 2022-2025 - Black | PSP-INT-432BK

The installation process is straightforward, but I did run into some difficulties. After installing the crank case vent hose into the PERRIN inlet hose, I was not able to secure the connection with OEM pinch clamp. The connection on the PERRIN inlet hose is larger in diameter. This shouldn’t be a big problem as the connection is pretty secure without the pinch clamp. I mainly bought this inlet hose to improve the aesthetics of my engine bay as I have other PERRIN items installed, and it does accomplish that. In terms of performance, don’t expect any noticeable improvement. Since this inlet hose doesn’t have a resonator like the OEM one does, I was expecting some improvement in intake noise, but I didn’t notice a difference in that either.

Its a direct replacement for the OEM inlet hose. Fitting it took a bit of effort as the hose is not that flexible but once in it looks cleaner than stock. Have not noticed any major differences in performance as the car is still new in the break-in period limiting rpms to under 4K. Good thing is there are no issues or codes. I noticed one person on U Tube reflashed the ECU to account for "more air flow". I doubt thats required as this hose is fitted after the mass airflow sensor so the quantity of measured air/oxygen does not change or if air is drawn in faster because of better air flow, then the sensor should measure it and adjust the AFR to compensate . Its like people who have removed the carbon filter in the intake air box after which they have measured more hp on a dyno at the top-end without reflashing the ECU.
