Import Image Racing is proud to carry the PERRIN Shifter Stop which has been designed to help eliminate some of the inherent shifter slop in your vehicle. Especially the horizontal slop between 1st and 2nd gear shift gates which have an average of 1" of shift play. With the PERRIN Shifter Stop, it will reduce the horizontal movement by up to 0.12" to make a solid connection between the driver and the transmission.
This shifter stop will bolt directly to the transmission, and it is crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum materials which allows for countless downshifts from 3rd to 2nd gear. Additionally, PERRIN supplies hardware that will remove the existing gap in the shifter assembly which will further reduce the lateral shifter assembly movement.

Great part. Easy install. Directions are clear and easy to follow. If you don’t have it, get it. Works like it should.
Takes away that sloppy shifter and tightens up the shifts. Must add to the upgrade list.
Cleans up the slop of the oem shifter. Takes 5 minutes to install and makes the shifting feel so much cleaner.
Noticeable difference in removing the left-to-right slop in first and second. I recommend putting blue Loctite on the bolts so that they don't work themselves lose over time.
Stop the slop in your WRX Shifter. Another easy and cost effective mod that you will feel every time you drive.
The quickest/easiest upgrade. It should come like this from the factory. But it doesn’t. So until then, you need one.

Such a simple part that makes such a significant difference. 1st and 2nd gear have barely any slop now and it is just much smoother. Once the bushing is installed im sure it’ll be even better.
