Perrin's lightened crank pulley for the Subaru WRX and STI is engineered to reduce rotating mass, increasing horsepower and torque. Made from 6061T6 aluminum and The Perrin lightweight crank pulley's weight is 1.2lbs, which makes the pulley more than 4lbs lighter then the stock crank pulley. This weight reduction from the crankshaft is equal to removing more than 100+lbs of vehicle weight. Perrin's pulley is not underdriven and will not affect the life of your engine. The pulley is simply a redesigned, lighter version of the stock crank pulley.

Aftermarket underdrive pulleys are prone to charging and drivability problems, the Perrin pulley avoids these potential problems by exactly copying the OEM piece. Perrin's crank pulley will not wear out engine bearings or the oil pump, and will not add any additional vibration or noise. Installation is straight forward and can be done without jacking the vehicle or removing anything other than the belt cover, belts and stock crank pulley.

Needed it ASAP

I'm glad it was shipped asap saved me from taking the train lol. After installing it, you definitely could feel the difference. I highly recommend this pulley. You won't regret it.

Awesome

I purchased the light weight pulley and i was kinda surprised on the actual weight difference on both OEM and This Light weight pulley, theres also a slight increase in throttle response(i said slight since i havent had a chance to fully drive the car) but you can feel the difference

100% worth it

I have been working on q fww subarus lately including my own and i was very surprised when i got this to feel just how much lighter it is then factory i will be installing it with my engine build/rebuild on my ej20

Def worth the $

So i got this in the mail and was very impressed with perrins macining and quality. I threw it on the car and for a 2008 2.5i with 170K miles, i have to say i did notice a difference mostly in 1st, 2nd, and rev drops.. very happy!!! love perrin! could have used a sticker tho :)

Awesome pulley

After seeing signs of failure on my oem harmonic balancer / crank pulley and hearing the horror stories from other subaru sti owners i was beyond ready to get this thing swapped out after searching around and comparing diffrent aftermarket options I felt pretty confident in the perrin lightweight crant pulley for my ej257 and the guys at iir. Got me what i needed in a vary timely fashion for having to use ground shipping , the pulley is almost 4.3 lbs lighter then the oem steel and rubber unit not only are my revs faster and downshifts rev match easier it looks killer in the engine bay install took right around 45 mins and the directions are very helpful cant thank import image racing and Josh enough for providing exceptional service definetly will be back for more products in the near future. !!!!

Excellent replacement

I recently swapped in a JDM ej205 into my 2002 WRX and the crank pulley was badly damaged during shipping/removal I think. So i decided to use this one as a replacement because it looks awesome and man is it light! Thing revs so much easier now, it works much better with how I drive the car, so rev-matching is so much smoother and better now. Highly recommended.
