Perrin Top Mount Intercooler Black 2015-2021 Subaru WRX | PSP-ITR-325BK

This changed my car completely. The stock intercooler is smaller with plastic components which will eventually crack. The Perrin top mount intercooler makes my engine bay look way better as well as the performance upgrade. TUNE REQUIRED. I’d recommend you buy this with the 3 port boost controller and as long as you have an aftermarket intake, exhaust, charge pipe, and bypass valve id tune it with stage 2+ 93. Changes the car night and day

In short, the Perrin TMIC is incredible! The power increase is noticeable and there were no codes thrown or funky throttle responses post-install. I purchased this for my 2017 WRX to reduce heat soak and improve performance, especially in the Summer months in AZ.

IMPORTANT: If you plan on purchasing this TMIC, you may need to raise the TMIC upward towards the hood with the use of a spacer/washer or you may encounter interference between the TMIC and the slave cylinder. This was not mentioned in the Perrin instructions but was brought to their attention.

The removal and install of the OEM TMIC is straightforward and install of this new Perrin TMIC is fairly straightforward. The fitment is pretty tight but that's expected due to the Perrin's larger than OEM size. The instructions were helpful and it's overall a fairly straightforward install. Just be aware of any interference with the slave cylinder or other components. Once it's installed it's definitely worth the purchase!
