What's in the Box:
The PERRIN Transmission Mount uses custom made large diameter 70a Durometer polyurethane bushings which are pressed into CNC'ed aluminum mounts, held in place with large bolts and a thick steel base plate. The larger bushings allow the extreme vibrations and sounds to be absorbed, while keeping the transmission from severely moving around under extreme loads. Another feature the PERRIN Transmission mounts have a proper interlock built into it. The stock part is held together with bonded rubber and a couple of small tabs, which means it is possible that the OEM part could fail and leave your transmission disconnect from your chassis.

Really cleaned up take off, sturdy material as expected from perrin
It fit up quite nicely on my 05 wrx wagon. I can definitely tell that it has tightened up the drivetrain. There's a little more noise from the trans, but with the windows down I don't really notice (plus, I like the sound anyways).
I would highly recommend removing the center bracket component to torque down the mount-to-trans bolts before reinstalling the cross-member. The instructions imply that it's an optional step, but it's really not. I had everything in place and then realized I couldn't get a torque wrench on those bolt heads due to the large fasteners going through the trans mount bushings. Pulling those out to get access to the bolts and then reinstalling them around the cross-member was a pain.

Cuts so much drivetrain slack out, much more direct power. The bouncy ness in first gear goes away almost completely. I’ve dumped countless amounts of $ into this build and this is by far my favorite investment. Perrin makes great products.
If you want a super soft ride with no vibration, then this is not the piece for you. This piece is a solid mount which means it will add extra NVH(noise,vibration, harshness) with the most obvious being starting from a stop in first. However the positives outweight the negatives by far. No more low speed bucking in 1st and second gear, more precise acceleration as well. Install can be a bit difficult. Would recommend the whiteline positive shift kit in addition to this since you can kind of do both at once for maximum improvement.

2017 WRX w/ STI Trans
All trans slop was removed, but it does add a lot of NVH. I was expecting a good bit more, but I didn’t expect this much. Gear whine is fine by me, but not every burp, and spatter needs to be transmitted. Overall, would buy again.
A simple install that I did after work. I notice the difference in shifting for sure. I do notice a little more vibration but I like it.
