The Process West Top Mount Intercooler is engineered to deliver lower intake temperatures, consistent power, and improved cooling efficiency for performance Subaru applications. Rather than relying on an oversized core, Process West uses a 90mm intercooler core designed to maximize airflow through the factory-style top-mount layout.

Optimized 90mm Core

Extremely thick top-mount intercoolers can restrict airflow as air enters through the hood scoop and turns through the core. Process West developed its 90mm core to balance intercooler capacity with efficient airflow, helping reduce outlet temperatures without unnecessary restriction.

High-Flow Silicone Y-Pipe

The included moulded silicone Y-pipe is designed to distribute charge air evenly across the intercooler entry tank. More balanced airflow helps maximize use of the entire intercooler core.

Proven Performance

During back-to-back dyno testing on a 2005 Subaru WRX, the Process West intercooler produced 115.5 kW compared with 107.5 kW using the factory intercooler.

In static dyno testing, peak outlet temperature was reduced from 66°C with the factory intercooler to 51°C with the Process West unit. During spirited road testing, the factory intercooler reached 72°C while the Process West intercooler remained below 43°C.

Note

This intercooler does not include an intercooler splitter. Process West recommends using a properly matched splitter or hood scoop ducting to maximize airflow through the core.
