Process West’s young yet infamous Verticooler is now available for the Subaru WRX. Why opt to go with the Verticooler? Process West is constantly investing the time, and research to develop fine-effective parts for the WRX platform. It seems like intercoolers are their bread and butter due to the stellar design.
Like most conventional top mount intercooler designs, the intercooler lays flat on top of the engine. The air is forced though the scoop’s ducting, and makes a 90 degree turn into the intercooler. With the Verticooler, it is mounted 15 degrees so when the air enters the scoop, it SLAMS into the Verticooler. This makes for more cooling efficiency which means more power, more response, the works.
Comes with all the provided hardware for a Saturday afternoon installation.

I'll the verticooler speak for itself for the most part, its design and build quality is top shelf. for the money, you are getting THE best top mount on the market for your 2015+ WRX. Ask a pro tuner/ E tuner their thoughts on these and i guarantee 100% of them will recommend.
Side note: Import image racing had the best pricing AND had them in stock at time of purchase, other sites did not.

Works amazingly well, looks great, the only drawback to this top mount setup is that its kind of tough to get it shoved in there because its so large.
The items came by quick, were packed nicely, customer service is friendly and helpful. However their response has been very slow right now. Will return for business.
For my 2019 WRX, when adding the J Pipe and the upgraded Boost controller, I knew this Process West TMIC was a critical part. My shop could not source the unit, nor could a couple of the larger online, Subie centric retailers - hinting product would not arrive for months. Dk how I stumbled upon iiR, but the tech team quickly replied to my email inquiry and they had LOTS of units in stock ! Had it shipped to my shop, arrived exactly when the order system said it would.
As far as performance, the power curve and smooth, FAST acceleration of the car is amazing! Had a pro tune before and loved it ...but this new combination of components and pro tune.... amazing !
The fit went super, and as PW assured me, fits nicely right in front the Perrin strut brace. According to Process West the Perrin strut was the only one they guaranteed worked, and I'm glad I went with it long ago. There WAS a slight rattle on rare extreme acceleration, so some high temp dense foam tape did the trick, place on both sides of the unit.
I'll purchase again from iiR I'm quite sure! (thinking about upgrading the oil cooling with a Mishimoto cooler!)

This is an awesome piece. And the included charge pipe is a great deal when compared to other TMIC’s. I installed this coming into summer time and my intake temps have been very good, even in 90*+ weather. I have the IAG AOS and this kit still fits flawlessly. Get a tune to maximize that increased cooling and enjoy!
Great intercooler kit, easy install takes maybe an hour and a half. Instant gains and even better gains after its on the dyno. Pick this up while its on sale it was definitely worth it for me. Came with step by step picture instructions
