Import Image Racing is proud to carry the PERRIN Shifter Stop which has been designed to help eliminate some of the inherent shifter slop in your vehicle. Especially the horizontal slop between 1st and 2nd gear shift gates which have an average of 1" of shift play. With the PERRIN Shifter Stop, it will reduce the horizontal movement by up to 0.12" to make a solid connection between the driver and the transmission.
This shifter stop will bolt directly to the transmission, and it is crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum materials which allows for countless downshifts from 3rd to 2nd gear. Additionally, PERRIN supplies hardware that will remove the existing gap in the shifter assembly which will further reduce the lateral shifter assembly movement.
NOTE: For use with a 2018 WRX without the factory short shifter option installed. If you 2018 WRX has the option factory short shifter, you will need this shifter stop.

Adding this to your VB wrx is like receiving the good ole Huck Tuh the first time in your life. Smooth as butter and no more slop in 1st/2nd gear. Noticeably better and makes driving that much better. 100% recommend.
If you’re going to do any mod to your WRX, let it be this one. Eliminating the slop between 1st and 2nd gear is game changing when it comes to rowing gears in this vehicle. Take your time when installing and you won’t regret your decision.

Definitely something you need to do, and installation is super easy
Definitely a must have for the VB. No more 1st and 2nd gear sloppiness. The perrin shifter stop was an easy install and I definitely recommend it.
This definitely cleans up the shifting experience in first and second gear .. would definitely recommend!
