C-Cut Tail Light Overlays

Little modifications to your car can go a long way.  The simple designs can be subtle yet improve the overall look and make your vehicle truly yours.  Sure there might be other WRX / STI owners, but this one is belongs to you.

Not All Materials are Created Equally

3D Carbon

When purchasing vinyl overlays, keep in mind that not all materials are created equally. I use premium vinyl which has high initial costs, but are the industry standards for high quality materials. Also made in the USA. Dragon Wrap™ Carbon Fiber Films (3D Carbon) is a 5.6 mil calendered vinyl film featuring a clear repositionable permanent acrylic adhesive on an air-egress liner. This film has excellent dimensional stability, outstanding durability and outdoor performance. This repositionable permanent adhesive offers minimal initial bond growing to permanent bonds that facilitates application of large graphics. The air egress liner also aids in large graphic application. Minimum application temperature is 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Up to 5 year durability outdoors. Rated EXCELLENT for WATER RESISTANCE, HUMIDITY RESISTANCE, and SOLVENT RESISTANCE. 

Gloss Black

  • 2 mil, high gloss, repositionable, pressure activated, computer cut, cast vinyl with EZ apply/air egress
  • High quality solvent-based adhesive
  • 12 year durability
  • Extreme conformability over deep channels, rivets, and compound curves, without the need for primer

Dark and Light Smoke

  • Special transparent colored PVC film with UV stabilizers
  • 5 year outdoor durability
  • Clear permanent solvent polyacrylic adhesive

INSTRUCTIONS

Wash your hands and make a soapy water mixture (1 drop of dishwash soap + water).  You want to clean the application area and up to around 6 inches past that.

Apply your soapy mixture to the back of the vinyl.  This will prevent it from sticking to itself (especially if it is windy) and sticking immediately to the tail light.  Start aligning the bottom and work your way around to the top potion.  

The water allows you to lift up the vinyl and slide it around.  When you are happy with the position, just use your fingers to squeegee out the water / air bubbles.

Looks great. Slightly challenging to install.

These make the stock tail lights look so much better. Only slightly difficult to put on, align and squeegee.
