This beautiful rear brake light comes with 8 Red LEDs and a Red trapezoid light bar that is the daytime running light function. The 8 LEDs in the center are both a hyper flashing F1 style brake light or a solid brake light which can be quickly changed from the driver's seat.

2 Modes:
- Mode 1 = Hyper Flash Brake Light - Hyper-Blinks 15 Times
- Mode 2 = Steady Brake Light - No Flashing
- Note: Modes can be switched from driver seat using the brake pedal and headlight switch toggle.

Features:
- Center 8 LEDs if the F1 hyper flashing light. 15 blinks each time the brake pedal is pressed
- DRL Function. White light bar lights up red when your marker lights are engaged (first click on headlight stalk)

Update on this Product from my 2/25/2021

Instructions are pretty much trash, they're based off the 2015+ models. NOT 2011 TO 2014 and no one has the correct instructions on how to wire this up for 2011-2014. No ImportImage racing isn't listing this wrong, SMY says it's for our year but provides the wrong instructions and offer little to no assistance.

Buy at your own risk, you will either get it first try or have tapped into all of your wires for no reason trying to figure this out. I feel like SMY needs to correct the instructions and stop being cheap. I get it y'all just jump on the 2015+ hype train and leave previous years to suffer to save some money. Must be nice.

Import image racing still gets 5 starts for good service.

Good but not great

The light is awesome, there is really no need for it but it looks great and gets others attention when braking. Quality seams good, and fitment is good.

However, the installation is horrible. Unlike other f1 brake lights (or whatever you call this), this does not have a wiring harness that just plugs into the stock harness. You quite literally have to cut your brake light harness to splice this in. It's not easily reversible, and opens another spot for a short or failure. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but it is a possibility.

I am disappointed that smy could not make a harness for this, as they make one for the 2015+ wrx/sti.

Also the instructions are nonexistent in the box. You need to go onto smy's website to get them. The paper in the box crudely shows how to change the flashing. It reminds me of instructions you would get from a cheap item off ebay or wish.

Overall I would not recommend this light to anyone, unless they have some experience in electronics, have the necessary tools to do so, crimps, soldering equipment, ext, and are willing to permanently modify their braking harness.
