Should definitely change if it’s not rattling (just my experience).

After uninstalling an AOS around 45,000 miles I figured it was time to replace the PCV Valve on the STI. Old one had definitely seized and I was getting residual build up underneath the oil cap. Plenty of signs to let me know it was time! And nothing like OEM Quality parts! On my to do list for sure with other parts!
