I bought this for a 2016 WRX, fits nicely! The removal of the trim from the boot is a little tricky but I found working from the back of the trim is the easiest way to take it out. No modifications needed either, snaps right back in no issues if you wanted to get it for a model before 2018.
“Tightens” up the interior; the black trim looks super clean! Install was 5 minutes.
