Biggest direct drop in fuel pump (750hp) also E85 compatiable!
Was delivered super fast!
This is the low pressure 450lph pump by Walbro (F90000267) with universal install kit (400-1168).
Operating pressure: 35-87psi
Compatible fuel(s): E10 (87, 91 and 93 octane pump fuel), E85, race gas (110-116 octane fuel)
Location: Submerged in-tank fuel pump
Is this fuel pump right for me? Our recommendation is anything stock-450hp to the tire (on E85), use this pump or the high pressure Walbro 450lph single pump. That way you have ample fuel to make your power goals. 500+, I’d do the Hellcat pump (F90000285). And then 650+ I’d do a twin or triple pump setup with any of these flavors.
Technical jargon:
These fuel pumps are considered Dual Channel Single Stage (DCSS) pumps that are turbine driven. They create fuel pressure by centrifugal force from a turbine wheel inside the housing thereby forcing fuel into the fuel line – that basically means that they can flow a good amount of fuel to make big power. Turbine style fuel pumps are best for high horsepower applications requiring higher fuel pressure. That’s why these have such a unique shape compared to the old school GSS342 (Walbro 255lph). Back in the day, throw a 255 in the car and race gas and you’re set to make some decent power! Nowadays with ethanol and the potential capabilities of ethanol based fuels, much more fuel flow is needed to support how fast ethanol burns.
