This will be my third BOV/BPV on this vehicle, fourth if you count the OEM. After having both a Tial Q and a Tial QR, I can say that the TurboSmart Vee Port Pro is a much better fit. Although the Tial units are incredible, they are cumbersome, taking up precious space on a TMIC equipped vehicle. By the time you’ve installed the 50mm adapater and the unit itself, you’re nearly touching the manifold!
The Vee Port solves this issue by having the Subaru winged-flange built right in. Build quality is everything you’d expect from TurboSmart. The caveat to the more slim unit is that this is a 38mm relief valve instead of 50; the truth is, you don’t need a 50mm BOV if you’re still using a TMIC (OE or aftermarket). Do yourself a favor, and save the space.
