Billetworkz Short Throw Shifter Subaru WRX 2015-2025

This is exactly what I wanted. I’ve never driven a car with a short-throw shifter, so I was a bit worried it was going to be too much, but when I’m trying to drive fast, the shifts are so close it’s perfect. If you want to spice up your driving experience, I highly recommend this. I installed this by myself, and it was a bit of a challenge getting the rolling pin and some of the bolts out. I used super glue to hold the bolts in place (since they would only spin and begin to tear up the plastic housing), and just a hammer and a pin with pliers to get them out. Took a lot of effort for those few steps, but the rest was super easy

Shifting feel is a wash compared to the sti short throw shifter it replaced. More nvh and gear whine. Can’t shift into first on occasion (which happened on stock shifter at first but hadn’t done that for months). It does fix the reverse lockout rattle. Had to adjust the right side shift stop closer just to get the reverse lockout to clear it. Having that stop closer makes 5 and 6th feel worse. Not worth the time and money

Should have installed this mod first day. Definitely the most noticeable drivetrain mod I’ve done. That 1-2 slop is gone!!!!!

This made all the difference in the world. Shifts are crisp and confident. Coupled with the shift stop, bushing and plate. The car shift like a dream.

Love the shorter throw and new feel.

The feel of this is great a little stiffer than the stock one but way better I feel overall. The install was not too complicated either

I bought this as a kit that came with the shifter plate, bushing, shifter stop. It was all worth it. Grab all your drivetrain mods and install them all together when everything is apart! Follow the billetworkz YouTube videos for each thing and you’ll be good to go!!

perfect addition to my car absolutely love how much shorter it is then the sti short throw shifter my car came with. not a hard install but definitely time consuming

Excellent upgrade over the stock shifter. When paired with the billetworkz short shifter plate it’s phenomenal.

Such a different feel. Very tight gears and very short shift.
