2009-2021 Nissan GT-R
For years, GT-R owners have dealt with bulky multi-pump setups that are loud, difficult to install, and prone to fuel starvation from excessive heat. The AMS Omega Brushless Fuel Pump System was engineered to eliminate those compromises once and for all.
After more than two years of research, development, and real-world testing, AMS created a compact, whisper-quiet, brushless fuel system capable of supporting up to 1200 wheel horsepower on gasoline (approximately 800WHP on ethanol fuels like E85) — all with a single in-tank pump.
This is the ultimate drop-in fueling solution for serious street and race R35 builds.
Traditional brushed fuel pumps generate heat from internal friction as brushes contact the commutator. That friction creates wear, reduces efficiency, and turns the pump into a maintenance item. Because brushed pumps typically run at full duty cycle based on battery voltage, they generate constant heat — raising fuel temperatures and reducing performance.
The Omega system uses an OE-quality brushless motor and automotive-spec controller:
No internal brush friction
Dramatically reduced heat generation
Variable pump speed control
Lower fuel temperatures
Increased reliability and longevity
Instead of running at 100% all the time, the controller adjusts pump speed based on demand — delivering only the fuel required.
The R35’s fuel tank sits above a heat-soaked GR6 transmission and exhaust system. Adding multiple inefficient pumps compounds the issue. Fuel temperatures as low as 140°F can cause fuel boiling, drastically reducing output and leading to dangerous lean conditions.
By minimizing heat generation and current draw, the Omega Brushless system helps:
Reduce in-tank fuel temperatures
Maintain consistent fuel delivery
Prevent lean conditions and detonation
Protect your VR38 engine under high load
Unlike traditional vane or impeller-style pumps — which can lose up to 50% output at elevated fuel temperatures — the Omega system utilizes a screw-style pumping mechanism.
Benefits include:
Exceptional efficiency at high temperatures
Minimal pressure drop under load
Superior fuel flow stability
Reliable performance in extreme conditions
Many aftermarket pumps struggle to maintain pressure at high boost levels. The Omega Brushless Pump maintains strong fuel pressure even under demanding operating conditions — all while drawing less current than comparable systems.
And despite its output capability, it operates significantly quieter than traditional high-performance pumps.
Large multi-pump systems often require complex mounting or external solutions. The Omega Single Pump System:
Fits cleanly in the factory tank location
Retains full OEM fuel system functionality
Enhances the factory saddle-style tank and surge system
Requires no external surge tank
One Omega pump can replace two conventional high-output pumps while remaining neatly contained inside the tank.
Unlike basic aftermarket systems, the Omega includes a programmable controller with an easy-to-use Graphic User Interface (GUI).
Three control strategies available:
Basic:
Set a constant pump duty cycle for fixed fuel pressure.
Intermediate:
Stage output using a Hobbs switch or WOT trigger to switch between two duty levels.
Advanced:
Reference pump output to a 0–5V signal (MAP or TPS) for linear fuel delivery based on boost or throttle input.
This allows precise fuel delivery tuning tailored to your build — just like dialing in a boost controller.
The single pump system supports up to 1200WHP. If your build exceeds that, a second Omega Brushless Pump can be added seamlessly to your existing system — protecting your investment and future-proofing your setup.
