I don't know why OEM Subaru doesn't come with this. I highly recommend tweaking with it to the point of near perfection and also doing the same for the OEM shifter stop on the right side for 5th and 6th gear. That way, the entire gearbox feels a lot less smaller and straight up like a gated manual.
My first mod on a completely stock 21 wrx was this (im doing it right doing most of the "drivability" mods first). Super easy install and a huuuuge difference maker. No more slop!

I like the shifter stop it got rid of the side to side play from 1-2 and so on
Helped clean up a lot of the slop in 1-2 gear. Easy install in under 20 minutes. Easily worth the money
10/10 recommend makes driving sns shifting between 1st and 2nd so much smoother. Install was maybe 10 minutes if that.
