Features:
The Billetworkz Short Throw Shift Kit is designed to reduce throw by 55%!
The ergonomic design of the shifter combined with the shift stop allow for smoother, more precise shifts into second gear while avoiding contact with the e-brake, and includes O-rings to keep away the rattle. The shifter plate increases efficiency with its pivot points for shorter throws and stronger brass bushing for less slop. Enjoy improved accuracy and shift quality with this Billetworkz Short Throw Shift Kit for your WRX.
What's Included:
Short Throw Shifter:
Features the shortest shifts compared to all other 15-23 WRX Short Shifters on the market. We also designed our Short Shifter to be more comfortable and ergonomic than others (no hitting your hand on the e-brake handle when shifting into second). The included Reverse Lockout is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, and anodized for a vibrant and durable finish. The Shifter Rod is machined from 304 Stainless Steel. O-rings are included in the reverse lockout assembly to eliminate rattle. The o-rings will need to be lubricated and 3-in-1 oil is recommended. Stainless steel install hardware is also included.
Shifter Stop:
Designed to significantly reduce the amount of slop when in 1st and 2nd gear by limiting (or stopping) the lateral movement. When adjusted correctly, 1st and 2nd gear can be easily engaged with a very precise feel.
Shifter Transmission Plate:
Replaces the factory shifter plate, but reduces the shift throw by changing the pivot points. This short shifter plate is designed to be slightly heavier than the factory shifter plate (without being too heavy) to offset the shorter throw.
Shifter Bushing:
I love it! What a difference when shifting! Thank you for getting it delivered quickly . These guys are easy to communicate with and are always up for recommendations and general help.
Incredibly short, firm, and precise shifting after installation. No slop in the gears and the overal feel gives a feeling of confidence while spirited driving
Do it. Just do it. This is probably the best short throw shifter out there for the WRX. Super notchy and tight. No slop once you install the other parts with it. Driving a stock wrx feels so bad after having this thing for the last little while. Assembling the shifter assembly may seem complicated but just follow the billetworkz YouTube video and you’ll be fine!!
Not a terrible install and definitely makes a large difference in shifting. Way more solid then stock or other short throws.
Excellent shifting kit it’s a whole new driving experience.
Feels great one of the best upgrades for driving feel
The throw in this kits so short you won’t believe you were shifting stock for so long. Beautiful finish and ig you watch the YouTube step by step it’s a breeze to install yourself.
This is exactly what I wanted. I’ve never driven a car with a short throw shifter so I was a bit worried it was going to be too much but when I’m trying to drive fast the shifts are so close it’s perfect. If you want to spice up your driving experience I highly recommend this. I installed this by myself and it was a bit of a challenge getting the rolling pin and some of the bolts out. I used super glue to hold the bolts in place (since they would only spin and began to tear up the plastic housing) and just a hammer and pin with pliers to get them out. Took a lot of effort for those few steps but the rest was super easy
With the shifter plate and shifter I reduced the throws by 50%+
Amazing pice of art in this shifter . Can wait to install in my car . Fast shipping
