Features:
The COBB Shifter Bushing for your Subaru WRX consists of an aluminum carrier that houses an IGUS polymer bearing. The aluminum carrier eliminates slop present when using the factory rubber isolator. Use of an IGUS polymer allows for low wear and friction which leads to a long life. The factory bushing consists of a softer rubber which allows for fore/aft slop of the shifter mechanism. An IGUS Polymer bearing and aluminum carrier which work in conjunction to eliminate slop in the factory shifter.
This bushing removes much of the slop in the shifter. I haven't tried a brass version, but I like Cobb's material because it provides the perfect amount of flex.

Very easy install, a noticeable difference. I have pitch stop, Type N trans mount, rear diff bushings and factory short shifter. Coming from a BMW manual trans he Subaru trans shift feel needed some help. While it isn't M2 smoothness it feels darn good now!
This is an easy and relatively inexpensive shifter upgrade for the WRX. Installed on my VB. Note that the included washer is intended to replace the OEM one (this is not clear in the instructions but Cobb has answered a question about it on their website).
