By installing the COBB Shifter Stop on your WRX, you will reduce side-to-side slop of your shifter while in the 1-2 and 5-6 shifter gates. There is nearly a full inch of horizontal play to the shifter mechanism while in gear in the two outer gates (1-2 and 5-6) from the factory. This can lead to loss of feeling and confidence in gear selection. The COBB Shifter Stop allows for independent adjustment of the two gates to significantly reduce side to side slop.

    Better design than the rest!

    After looking at the different shift stops on the market I settled on the Cobb do to the studs that come with the kit that allow for adjusting the reverse lock out independently of the shift stop. First and second gear are much smoother going into the gate which is what I was hoping for. One thing to note: of your running a boomba short shifter the shifter will hit the bottom of the shift stop when shifting into 4th aggressively. To fix this I replace the lower nut with a lower profile jam nut. $.30 fix. Otherwise works great and really cleans up the shifting. And as always import image racing has top-notch customer service.
