The COBB Shifter Stop for 2015+ WRX MT is an injection molded fiberglass-reinforced nylon that allows for adjustment to achieve more precise shifting.
Features:
By installing the COBB Shifter Stop on your WRX, you will reduce side-to-side slop of your shifter while in the 1-2 and 5-6 shifter gates. There is nearly a full inch of horizontal play to the shifter mechanism while in gear in the two outer gates (1-2 and 5-6) from the factory. This can lead to loss of feeling and confidence in gear selection. The COBB Shifter Stop allows for independent adjustment of the two gates to significantly reduce side to side slop.
This made a night and day difference with shifting. It effectively takes out all of the slop in the side to side movement of 1-2, and 5-6. Because of the stud design Cobb uses you adjust both stops separately, which makes things much easier.
Bought it for my brother, tested it and the shifter fells way better without the slop.
Very easy install
Exactly as desired. Allowed me to remove slop from 1st to 2nd. Easy to adjust the stock shift stop to give more tightness to 5th and 6th. I've used this for over 9k miles on my VB with no issues and no need to adjust after setting it for the first time.
A cheap mod that helps I'm price the driving experience. Big improvement going into 1st and 2nd gears.
The perrin only provides two allen head bolts. To secure both shift stops. I prefer separate nuts to secure each individual shift stops. Just my take
Fits well very easy to install takes about 15-30 mins had to adjust it couple times just to get it right but absolutely worth the purchase tightens everything up shifter wise
I went with the Cobb shifter stop for my 2022 WRX because of their double nut design which allows you to adjust the reverse lockout and shifter stop itself independently from one another. No other shifter stop on the market does this. Simple 10 minute install for a completely changed transmission feel! 11/10 recommend.
I bought this Cobb shifter stop because I heard you can adjust the reverse lockout shift stop independently from the Cobb shift stop. Turns out its true :).
I was in the hunt for best bang for the buck and this is probably it. Shift feel in 1st and second is drastically improved. Now all the left for right motion for my gears are close to equal and feel amazing. Install was a breeze as well.
Makes huge difference and gets rid of play.
