This stud kit simplifies installation of bypass or blow off valves when installing a top mount intercooler (TMIC). Perfect length stainless steel studs install with a convenient 4mm hex key which eliminates the stripping of aluminum intercooler threads.
Shiny pieces. Perfect fitment on 2018 STI. Flush look. Strong hold. Wish it came with the sticker though lol. Great product.
Simple solution to a minor pain point, much faster to pull the intercooler and reinstall with these.
Is this part needed? No. It it an important upgrade? I doubt it. but it might give a little margin for error to prevent over-tightening the intercooler bolts. You can search YouTube for a description of these studs/bolts. Material quality is excellent, installation couldn't be simpler, studs are the correct length.
FYI - Did not come with a sticker in case you're like me and wanted one for your wall/tool case :-)
