Great news – on this purchase, you'll enjoy a BuildBUX bonus of $9.50.
Stock rear rotors on a Skyline GT-R are heavy, one-piece units, and that extra unsprung weight fights your suspension every time the wheel moves. GiroDisc's 2-piece rear rotor swaps that solid iron disc for a floating rotor ring mounted to a lightweight aluminum hat, cutting rotating mass at the corner where it matters most for both handling response and brake feel.
Each ring is machined from a proprietary high-carbon iron casting built to GiroDisc's own specification, with 48 curved vanes that pull air through the hub and cool the rotor under hard, repeated use — the kind of use a stock rotor starts to fade under on a track day or a long canyon run. The hat is 6061-T6 aluminum, black anodized, and stays on the car permanently — when the ring wears down, you replace just the ring (part D2-357) instead of the whole assembly. Spring clips and Belleville washers hold everything together with race-capable float, and no rattle or hardware noise on the street.
Every hat, ring, and drive pin is machined in-house in Bellingham, WA from domestically sourced material — this isn't an off-the-shelf casting with a sticker slapped on it, it's a rotor built specifically for this chassis.
Fitment: Nissan Skyline GT-R — R32 (V-Spec), R33 (all), R34 (excluding V-Spec II). Rear position, 300mm.
Note: Rear pad backing plates need to be trimmed flush to the pad material for correct fitment. Contact GiroDisc directly if you'd like pre-trimmed pads or have fitment questions.
