Each knob is machined from Delrin/Duracon, an extremely durable thermoplastic, right here in Minnesota. Each knob weighs 120g, a fraction of it's Stainless Steel counterpart. Each shift knob also receives laser etched GrimmSpeed logos around the base. The shift knob itself features a hybrid design that is comfortable in both overhand, and side grip driving styles.
These shift knobs are designed to fit the 6 speed right out of the box, so if you'd like to hold the shift boot up on your 5 speed shifter, you'll want to add our Shift Boot Retainer to your order. Please add it using the drop down menu as needed.
Please note: This item has been designed to fit the 6-speed manual Subaru shifters right out of the box. If you'd like to install it on your 5-speed Subaru setup and hold the shift boot up at the base of the shift knob, you'll want to add the GrimmSpeed Shift Boot Retainer, which is also available to purchase separately. Great was exactly what I was expecting, doesn’t get blazing hot or cold. if you have smaller hands I would suggest the short one as the tall shifter makes reverse a bit of reach.
Like the size and look of this shift knob but weights significantly less then the stock shift knob.
