This is the third set of q300 exhaust I’ve owned across the platform. I would say this is the most neighbor friendly exhaust I’ve used in the low to mid volume range. Once it’s warmed up the noise level is very quiet and only gets louder when you’re pushing it. The cold start with the vacuum pump clatter is the loudest this muffler will likely get.

The Q300's sound great coming from a stock exhaust, trust the reviews! If you are looking for a really loud exhaust this one probably isn't for you however, this is a high quality exhaust with great sound and almost no drone at all. It is definitely louder than the stock exhaust but will not attract unwanted attention. The more you get on it the more it opens up, really brings out the subie rumble of the STI. Paired with a downpipe I'm sure this exhaust will be the perfect "loud" for a daily driver. Love the tone and sound. the pops Perfect. Zero drone

I purchased this exhaust after getting pulled over for my remark axle back muffler deletes. I loved the sound and the loud pops I would get from aggressive shifting with the deletes, but they were loud; Like wake up the neighborhood at 6:00 am loud. This is exhaust however, has a very nice deep tone that the deletes were missing. Its barely noticeable and sounds only slightly louder than stock when cruising, but its has a really nice aggressive tone when you get on it, and it allows you to hear the turbo spool and intake rather than just loud raspy exhaust. Best of both worlds really. There is absolutely 0 drone on the highway too which was important to me because I drive 65+ miles per day on the highway. My plan is to add a catted Grimmspeed j-pipe in the coming weeks and I cant wait to hear how it sounds. Fitment is good, but you will have to loosen and tighten the different hardware to get it to sit evenly. total install time for me on the floor with only jack stands was about 2 hours, so it's not bad at all. Overall, if you want an exhaust that sounds great but won't make your ears bleed, this is a great choice.

I installed the Q300 with a Tomei EL exhaust manifold, Grimmspeed up-pipe, and Invidia downpipe and I'm very happy with the end result.

The Q300 is like the stock mufflers cranked up a bit. I do mostly interstate driving at around 80MPH and the Q300 is not at all droning or loud at that speed (2017 STI 6th gear); the radio is still clearly audible and enjoyable.

I tried to align the mufflers as best as I could but ended up with similar results as those already pictured here. Maybe there's some secret order for tightening everything that puts them in perfect alignment.

I did a lot of research before pulling the trigger on this exhaust. The days of having an exhaust that you can hear from 3 blocks away are gone for me. This one is the perfect fit. It's quiet, maybe quieter than stock, when driving normally. When you step on the throttle though it'll let you know it's there. It's got a great deep sound. The stainless tips look great as well. Installation was super easy. If you're still running the stock J pipe, I highly recommend getting the Grimmspeed adapter. Super fast shipping and great prices from Import Image Racing, per usual.
