Subaru designed the pitch stop mount to assist in controlling the engine and drivetrain forward and aft twisting motion. The pitch stop is inherently soft due to the plastic body and high compliance rubber bushing design and was built for comfort and not responsiveness or feel. Whiteline's Billet 6061-T6 aluminium pitch stop mounting is built to handle the demands of high torque and power output engines by limiting the amount of movement the engine and drivetrain will place upon the pitch stop. Utilizing low compliance bushing technology this eliminates the slop, twisting & shudder found in the OEM rubber bushings allowing for a faster, positive, responsive feel of power delivery on and off the throttle.
Honestly didn’t think that it would make much of a difference, but it really made my car feel alive u do get NVH but it’s worth it and my shifts feel amazing
Was having a lot of kick back when shifting from the engine with the OEM pitch stop mount. Install was pretty straight forward, added a little Vaseline to the bushings to slide it into place, bolted up and it was done in about 5 minutes, of course after getting the TMIC off. Took it for a test drive on a back road to really give it a good run, and I had no more issues with it kicking back after every high rpm shift. Definitely recommend for anyone who is on the fence about changing theirs. Old one was shot, new one is amazing!
Haven’t got a chance to test it on the track yet, but the install was easy.
