Installation
Bolts included are designed to be used with factory STI holes in trunk, if you have OEM spoiler you will need to open the holes up slightly to get the bolts in properly. These bolts are NOT required for install. Be sure to seal bare metal with sealant to prevent rust.
Prep the application area and make sure it is free from dust, debris, wax, and has not been freshly ceramic coated. This spoiler can be installed with just 3M.
The 3M requires installation temperatures of 70-80 degrees. It has a solid bond after 24 hours and will achieve full bond after 72 hours.
Use another person to test fit the spoiler prior to starting the actual install. Note the proper position. Apply 3M to the spoiler and remove the ends of the 3M backing tape. Expose enough so that you can pull it out from under the wing once you put it back on.
Reposition the spoiler in the correct position, double check bolt alignment and start the bolts but do not tighten yet. Remove all of the 3M backing tape. Press down firmly and apply pressure for 30 seconds along each section of the spoiler. Open the trunk, finish tightening the bolts and reassemble the trunk cover.

This was such a great purchase. I bought it on a weekend with only 1 in stock. The shipping info was confusing at first, but the web chat team eased my mind on Monday. They found my order, ensured they did have it on hand and it went out that day. I heard horror stories of having to elongate stock holes in the trunk. No issues with this for me. Holes lined up, but the stock hardware didn’t fit. A quick trip to the local parts store fixed that. The install was super easy. The fitment was excellent. And the service from IIR was fantastic. I’ve ordered all of my parts from IIR so far and will continue to do so. Stop making me spend all my money guys! 😅
The RD3 spoiler was a direct bolt on to my 22 limited there was no need to enlarge any holes. It looks great aggressive but not over the top.
I like the carbon fiber and design of this spoiler. Perfect!
Excellent fit Excellent finish looks incredible on metallic grey. Doesn't stand out. But yet when you see it it's bam!
