The PERRIN Driveshaft Carrier Bushings replace the soft OEM rubber bushings that mount the driveshaft carrier bearing to the chassis. Upgrading your driveshaft support bushings ensures your driveshaft is held firmly in place at all times. These bushings align the front and rear sections of the center driveshaft, correcting the OEM misalignment. Proper alignment minimizes wear on the driveshaft universal joints, resulting in smoother acceleration and enhanced performance.
Add these with the Driveshaft Lockdown and most of the slop from the two piece driveshaft in an STI is gone. Really recommend these. Install took minutes and the results were immediate. Really wish I had done this earlier.
This plus the driveshaft lockdown kit removes a lot of the slop the system sees on torque, or on throttle lift. Feels like there’s less bucking happening now.

Must have if you are doing the driveshaft lock down. Used a simple ball joint removal tool. Old bushings came out in seconds. Easy install.
Once I saw someone suggest using a pitman arm puller to get the stock bushings out, it was a breeze. Great addition to the driveshaft lockdown.

Worthy upgrade while installing the driveshaft lockdown. It gets a little time consuming when trying to readjust the driveshaft straight if you're working on the floor, but it will be worth it.
These carrier bearings are amazing! Pair these with the Perrin driveshaft lockdown, and it eliminates the slop in the driveline from the OEM rubber bushings, and the loose stock carrier housing.
Perfect upgrade for the driveshaft. Takes out the play from the oem bushings. I will say the oem ones were a pain to get out but they finally popped free
a worth - while upgrade for WRX. Combine this with other suspension / driveline related mods & you’re otw to a track / street ready vehicle.
