Reduce drivetrain shudder under hard acceleration by installing a PERRIN Pitch Stop mount. The factory pitch stop mount is designed to control the pitching of the engine and transmission under light to normal acceleration. Subaru's with power and drivetrain upgrades will need PERRIN's more aggressive option.
Under hard acceleration, the drivetrain is being twisted front to back from front axle torque twist. To control this front to back twisting, Subaru created a pitch stop mount. The factory pitch stop is made of plastic with soft rubber bushings, allowing for a significant amount of movement under hard driving conditions, creating drivetrain slop & shudder.
Perrin Pitch Stop mount did great cuts all the slop for my VB a much-needed mount over stock. It does not matter if you go this route or the other mounts that IIR carries, it still makes a nice defense over OEM. I give this an A.
Easy install, already had the intercooler off to do the AOS. Noticed an immediate difference driving the car after, feels way more solid shifting in the lower gears and hardly any NVH increase.
Swapped this out after the transmission mount and it’s pretty solid now. I recommend it to anyone looking to secure the transmission and decrease that lunging in low gear at low speed.

I installed the pitch stop, transmission mount and rear diff inserts a couple weeks apart from each other so I could feel what each did...this pitch stop made the largest difference to the feel of the vehicle. I would argue that this is a "must-have" item.
Very easy to install. Way better than that crappy plastic mount.
Took 5 minutes tops to get installed and definitely has helped however I have noticed first gear “skips” now where the rpms sometimes dont seem right and throws my shifting off. Whole car rocks. Stiffer pitch stop might be showcasing stock transmission mount issues?
Super easy to install. I’ve put these on both my VA and VB WRXs, great upgrade for the money. Pairs well with group N trans mount.
I ordered the Perrin pitch stop because I was going to be back there anyway installing the new Cobb top mount intercooler. This does also work for the WRX GT. I recommend it.
